In this new series of work, John Humble imprints his personalized photographic style on ocean studies of the Santa Monica Bay. Aesthetically beautiful images are created of the moment when ocean and sky meet through the use of color, space and light. Taken throughout the year from the same location, Lifeguard Station 26 in Santa Monica, each picture is absolutely unique and forcefully reveals nature’s constant state of change. With small variations in atmosphere, radically different possibilities are created in mood.
