Arne Svenson
Las Vegas
In much of his work, Arne Svenson makes the mundane seem extraordinary. This is certainly true with Las Vegas, a black-and-white series taken in the 90s. The depopulated Las Vegas is not a pretty sight; a city of lost hopes and shattered dreams, instead, comes into focus. Svenson centers on the artifice, the façade and the fake glamour, that are so much a part of this glitzy town.
